I believe I became involved as a member of NSMI in May 2021 and was appointed a Director in November 2021.

I was introduced to The North Staffordshire Medical Institute by former trustee Pat Doherty who stepped down having retired from his position as Director at Louis Taylor Ltd. As a current Director at Louis Taylor Ltd Pat asked me if I would take his place to provide commercial property expertise and advice to the organisation.

I am a Chartered Surveyor & Commercial Property representative on the Council and am also involved in the F&GP committees.

Having studied locally, obtaining my degree at Staffordshire University and becoming a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) while holding the position of Principal Estates Surveyor at Britannia Building Society based in Leek I have an affinity and deep rooted connection with Staffordshire as an area.

Having in excess of 20 years’ experience within the commercial property industry working with Britannia Building Society, Marconi, The Co-operative Group and Louis Taylor Ltd I have been involved in all aspects of commercial agency, asset management and professional work. I have a breadth of knowledge and experience that can be drawn upon to provide clear and measured, commercially minded advice.

Away from the office a keen amateur golfer. Spending as much time as possible on the course attempting to reduce the current handicap the game is both rewarding and challenging in equal measure. When not on the course time is spent cycling, going to the gym and spending time with family. When feeling less energetic visiting the theatre and cinema provide an enjoyable distraction.
